Personal Assistance, Alzheimer’s Care, and Household Services in Central Texas
For close to a decade, Divine Home Care Services has served clients we consider our neighbors. We are not a franchise. Divine Home Care Services is an independent agency born in Waco, Central Texas, and proud of it. Our caregivers receive extensive, award-winning training and abide by our strict codes and policies. That is probably why Divine has earned the Best of Home Care Award for client satisfaction for the last five consecutive years.
Employment screening for our professional caregivers includes background checks and verification of personal/work experience. All our caregivers are company employees that receive ongoing development through our award-winning training program. We are licensed, bonded, and insured.
Personal Assistance
Under Personal Assistance we offer services that help individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), from helping them get dressed in the morning to making sure they eat healthy meals throughout the day. Personal Assistance includes but is not limited to the following:
Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care. Our caregivers are trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s care and do all they can to ensure your loved one remains safe and comfortable in their own home. From giving medication reminders to providing mind-stimulating activities, we are here to support your loved one as well as the entire family.
Dressing and Grooming. Arthritis, injury and other conditions can make it difficult to get dressed and groomed. Our caregivers can help you or your loved one get ready to face the day.
Bathing and Hygiene. It’s also important to bathe regularly and keep up with basic hygiene as part of a healthy lifestyle. We will help your loved one get into and out of the tub safely and make sure that proper hygiene habits are maintained.
Incontinence Care. Incontinence is a common condition among the elderly, one that can be both embarrassing and even isolating. From adult diapers and commodes to bedside urinals and internal catheters, we will discretely manage these situations.
Transferring. Transferring from the bed to a wheelchair or a wheelchair to the toilet can be difficult for many of our at-home clients. We provide assistance with all transference issues.
Feeding. Loss of control, balance and coordination can all make eating difficult. We provide assistance with the act of eating and drinking, as well as making sure your loved one is eating healthy meals throughout the day.
Household Services
The other branch of our services refers to those tasks that are required in managing a household. From cleaning to shopping, we are here to take care of the details that ensure a safe, comfortable, and satisfying home life. Household Services include but are not limited to the following:
Companionship. Living with a disability at home can be very isolating. That’s why we provide companionship to keep your loved one active and socially engaged.
Meal Preparation. Our caregivers will help prepare food and serve your loved one healthy, nutritious meals so they get the sustenance they need daily.
Shopping and Errands. We will run errands and go food shopping for your loved one so they don’t have to worry about getting the things they need.
Light House Cleaning. A clean house is a safe house. We will perform light house cleaning, such as dusting and vacuuming.
Respite Care. When you as the family member need a break from the role of caretaker, we are here to fill in the gaps.
End of Life Care. Our caregivers offer physical and emotional support for individuals during their final stages of life. We provide assistance and comfort to your loved one while giving your family the support they need at this difficult time.
Transportation. From church services to doctor’s appointments, we can get your loved one where they need to be.
